Timothy Nelson
Timothy in PHI

Timothy in PHI

This is a portrait of my youngest son Timothy, drawn with graphite pencil on Canson Mi-Teintes cream paper. Tim originally took this picture of himself in high school and  applied a beautiful gray scale to it. I always loved the artistry in his  self portrait and knew I would someday draw it. I cropped it in a PHI rectangle which is appropriate as he loves mathematics.

Graphite on Canson Mi-Tientes Paper 9"x10.456"

Pool Boys

These Pool Boys are my grandbabies.  They are best friends and always  seem to be in the midst of their own whirlwind.  Typical boys who love to play and have great adventures, dig in the ground, fight with their swords, and splash in their pool.  I think being a grandma is like having a hot chochalate bownie covered in vanilla ice cream, a real treat!

Original  11" x 15"

Blueberry Pickin

We had a fun day Picking Blueberries with our grandsons in Memphis.

Mabel Scheiner
Flora, Mabel, & Ethel

Flora, Mabel, & Ethel

This painting was inspired by an old family photograph
 taken sometime before 1920.
Mabel is my maternal Grandmother,
and Flora and Ethel, her best friends.
Flora, and Ethel were soon to become Mabel's sisters in law.
At the time this photo was taken,
I don't think Mabel had met Her tall handsome husband to be,
my grandpa, James Scheiner.

Original Watercolor 11.5"x14", 2007

Michael

This is a portrait of my husband Michael.
The inspiration for this painting came from a photo
I took on our honeymoon in Carmel Califonia back in 1980.

Lindsay Girl

Lindsay is our one and only daughter.
I painted this for her 21st birthday.
My inspiration came from a photo taken
by her friend when she was 16.
I loved the way he captured her joy in the moment,
and I hope I captured her beauty,
 and youthful hopes and dreams.

Original painted in watercolor 16"x 20"

Mary Alvey
Aubbey

Aubbey

Mary Alvey, aka Aubbey, is my husband Michael's maternal grandmother.
Aubbey was much loved and respected.
With hard work and ingenuity she raised her children through the Great Depression.
She imparted wonderful attributes such as strength,
dignity, integrity, love, and beauty to the generations to follow.

Original, pencil, graphite and white chalk, on blue drawing paper.
